THE LIFE PIE CHART IS EYE-OPENING!

I encourage professional women to explore where they spend their time, energy, and resources.

Consider how you would rank the significant areas of your life on a wheel of life pie chart – health, money, love, family, friends, fun faith, growth, home, work, and self-care.

The answers to some of these will reveal dissatisfaction and imbalance. Women often share with me that something’s still missing… they're too busy to have a personal life... they can’t seem to stop an addiction or start consistently engaging in self-care… those closest to them complain that they're not present even when they finally get home from the office... relationships are a struggle... they feel guilty about missing their kids' games.

We are kindred spirits! My personal recipe put my sole focus on work and taking care of others instead of myself. It's how I based my worth (and I neglected all the other significant areas of my life).

How could I have such competence and professional success and be so adept at taking care of others – yet personally frozen and checked out?

I was burned out, irritable, out-of-balance, unfit, procrastinating on personal responsibilities, and too busy for friends or fun. I had plenty of excuses!

I was driven by a self-limiting belief that I had to give all I had to you, to my work, to "them" – without making or taking any time for myself.

Sure I felt resentful, exhausted, and hopeless - like a victim - but that's where the coping behaviors I learned in childhood came in. I had become masterful at numbing out after work with TV, food, people-pleasing, doing for others instead of myself, and giving free advice on what my family "needed" to do. (That didn't work so well...)

I controlled all I could and lived on external praise... Work was my comfort zone because I excelled there; caretaking fooled me into thinking it was what I was here for.

I'm admitting these things to you because I think you can relate to something here.

If you're ready to feel like yourself again - or even better - book a clarity call with me. It's 100% possible to heal your negative thoughts and uncomfortable feelings... to overcome self-limiting beliefs and stop sabotaging your success in the major areas of your life you're dissatisfied with right now.

I know the way out of the trap and how to end this vicious cycle. I can help you.
